This Christmas tree is made of Sugar Maple and is 5" tall.
These handmade Christmas decorations are sure to be treasured family  heirlooms.
They are turned on a lathe from local hardwoods.

This piece is  turned from  an old sugar maple tree.

This wood was cut several years ago and has sat outside my shop while I let nature work on it and give it incredible colors.
This tree has an incredible graining and color. It is finished with lacquer and hand rubbed to a satin luster.
Each hand turned tree  has a fanciful shape.
This piece is turned from wood that came from a very old tree that stood on a country road for over 100 years in front of Jessup's orchard . When it died it remained standing another 10 years before it was taken down. As a result it has incredible patterns in the grain of the wood.
It is finished with several coats of carefully  hand rubbed lacquer finish to best show it off.
It is signed and numbered by the artist.
