This Christmas tree is made of Sugar Maple and is 6" tall.
These handmade Christmas decorations are sure to be treasured family heirlooms.
They are turned on a lathe from local hardwoods.
Some of the wood sits outside my shop for a year while I let nature work on it and give it incredible colors.
Each has a fanciful shape.
This piece is turned from wood that came from a very old tree that stood on a country road for over 100 years. When it died it remained standing another 10 years before it was taken down. As a result it has incredible patterns in the grain of the wood, because it has such a unique grain this tree has a special hand rubbed lacquer finish to best show it off.
It is signed and numbered by the artist..
