Hand Turned Christmas Trees are Back!

Hand Turned Wooden Christmas tree in Spalted maple

Here They Come!

This year I have some very unique and beautiful trees to offer.
It began last spring when I was driving to my shop one morning. For as long as I can remember there has been this very old and large sugar maple tree standing dead on the side of the road. But this day the tree had fallen over.
When maple starts to decay, wonderful things happen. The wood changes and incredible patterns and colors start to emerge.
I gathered up as much as I could fit in my van and I took it to my shop, now I have some of it on my lathe.
The results are awesome!
This wood is special, and you will love it too.
See all the trees here.

This is what the trees come from
