Opening Day!

Opening Day!

I am very pleased to announce that Sunrise Woodwork has a whole new look, and much more to offer.
Sunrise Woodwork has a totally remodeled website on the WordPress platform.
The entire site is searchable, you can create your own user account and see the status of past and current orders, you can leave  comments, give your rating and feedback on my work, and easily share what you like with your friends on Facebook, twitter or any other of your social  media favorites.

For the last couple of months I have had a third job, or should I say a new hobby because I have really enjoyed doing it. I can be a bit of a nerd, and I love to learn new things; And boy, did I learn new things! When I started I new nothing at all about WordPress, and I had just a smattering or knowledge about PHP and CSS and other techie web stuff that you really need to know to make a site that is tailored to the look and function that you want.  WordPress is a really great tool, there are many, many parts (so to speak) that can be gotten, and assembled into any kind of site you care to make. You just have to find them and learn how to set them up.

I would like to express my thanks to my wife who has put up with me boring her as I tell her all the details of my progress these last weeks.
And I would like to mention the incredibly useful service of lynda.com, where for $25 a month you can have unlimited access to great videos explaining WordPress or any number of other subjects in great detail, I could not have done this project without it.

The new site is a work in progress, I plan to have it be not only a place to see and purchase unique handmade woodworking, but it will be a place where professional and hobbyist woodworkers can share information about our craft as well.

I hope you enjoy browsing, and I look forward to your comments.

Thank you Jen, it is always a pleasure to get an unsolicited compliment from a total stranger.

Congratulations on your new website. It compliments your work and shows not only your design talents, but the execution of quality craftsmanship that anyone would want to have in their intimate environment. It amazes me how talented you are, and how well you relate to the sanctity of “home”. Your work is simply beautiful.
